Service Description

Electrolysis thread vein removal, also known as thermocoagulation, is a specialized treatment designed to eliminate "spider veins" or broken capillaries, typically on the face, neck, and chest. It uses a fine, sterile probe to deliver a high-frequency electrical current into the vessel, causing the blood to cauterize and the vein walls to collapse. The body then naturally absorbs the remains. The Procedure During the session, which usually lasts 15–30 minutes, a practitioner touches the surface of the skin or enters the vessel with a needle as thin as a hair. You will feel a quick "stinging" or "pinprick" sensation and heat. Small white patches or tiny scabs often form immediately, indicating the vessel has been successfully treated. Preparation (Before Treatment) To ensure the skin is in the best condition for the laser-like electrical current, follow these steps: Sun Avoidance: Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for at least 2 weeks. The procedure cannot be performed on sunburned or heavily tanned skin. Medical Consultation: Discontinue blood-thinning medications (like Aspirin or Ibuprofen) 48 hours prior if medically safe, as these increase bruising. Skin Health: Do not have other aggressive treatments (peels, microdermabrasion) in the area for 2 weeks before. Alcohol & Caffeine: Avoid alcohol and excessive caffeine 24 hours before your appointment to minimize skin sensitivity and blood flow to the surface. The Day Of: Cleanse the skin thoroughly and do not apply makeup, perfume, or heavy creams to the target area. Aftercare (Post-Treatment) Proper aftercare is vital to prevent scarring or pigment changes: Hands Off: Tiny "micro-scabs" will form along the treated vein. Do not pick, scratch, or rub them. They must fall off naturally (usually within 7–10 days) to prevent scarring. Temperature Control: For 48 hours, avoid anything that dilates the blood vessels: hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, spicy foods, and vigorous exercise. Use lukewarm water for washing. Skincare: Avoid "active" ingredients (Retinoids, AHAs, Vitamin C) for 5 days. Apply an antiseptic cream or pure Aloe Vera gel twice daily to soothe the area. Sun Protection: The skin is highly susceptible to hyperpigmentation after electrolysis. Apply SPF 50 daily for at least 2 weeks. Makeup: Wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup; ensure brushes are clean to prevent infection. Results and Frequency While some veins disappear instantly, others require 2–4 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks.
