Service Description

Laser tattoo removal does not "burn" the ink out of the skin; rather, it uses a process called Selective Photothermolysis. Tattoo ink is trapped in the dermis (the second layer of skin) because the ink particles are too large for the body’s white blood cells to carry away. Modern lasers, specifically Q-Switched and Picosecond lasers, deliver incredibly fast bursts of energy—measured in nanoseconds or picoseconds. When the laser hits the ink, the particles absorb the light energy, heat up instantly, and shatter into microscopic fragments. Once the ink is pulverized, your body's lymphatic system (the waste disposal network) recognizes these smaller pieces as foreign invaders. Over the following 6 to 12 weeks, macrophages (immune cells) "eat" the fragments and transport them to the lymph nodes, where they are eventually excreted. Factors Influencing Results Ink Quality: Professional ink is harder to remove than "street" or amateur ink because it is more densely packed. Tattoo Age: Older tattoos are easier to remove because the body has already spent years naturally breaking them down. Location: Tattoos closer to the heart (neck, chest) fade faster than those on the extremities (ankles, fingers) due to better circulation.
