Warm wax is a popular hair removal method that involves applying wax heated to a moderate temperature onto the skin with a spatula. The wax adheres to both the hair and a cloth or paper strip placed over it. When the strip is quickly pulled away, it removes the hair from the root, leaving skin smooth for several weeks. Warm wax is effective for both fine and coarse hair, making it suitable for larger areas like the legs, arms, and back, as well as for facial hair removal. Unlike hot wax, which hardens on its own, warm wax requires the strip for removal. While generally well-tolerated, it may cause some temporary redness or irritation, especially on sensitive skin.
